Two Job Postings for Client: Simplex Inc.

Due to Extensive Growth, Rogers HR Consulting, LLC has been asked to help Simplex, Inc. find candidates for existing and newly created positions within the Electrical Engineering Department and Human Resources.  The current open positions we are recruiting for are Electrical Engineer, Engineering Technician, and Human Resources Generalist.


Simplex, Inc. designs and manufactures Load Banks and Fuel Supply systems for power generation and liquid automation. Their products are used world-wide for mission critical environments in manufacturing, technology, hospitals, and the U.S. military. Electrical Engineer

The duties of an Electrical Engineer consist of designing and developing products to meet the customer specifications. Proficiency will be attained on the job including the acquisition of working knowledge of products and the application of them. This position involves engineering knowledge and application of that knowledge to interpret requirements and develop design solutions. The Electrical Engineer is expected to grow quickly in knowledge and ability to the point of assuming independent work in a period of 3-6 months and demonstrate continual growth thereafter. Specific requirements include but are not limited to:


  • Work closely with the Engineering Manager to complete design work assigned in a timely manner.
  • Analyze sales orders and customer specifications to design equipment consistent with requirements.
  • Manage technical information in proprietary software.
  • Maintain a workflow that ensures timely adherence to the schedule.


The ideal candidate will have the following skills and abilities.

  • Technical background including education and/or experience equivalent to a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Thorough understanding of mathematics and electrical theory.
  • Ability to identify (through both observation and conversation) key requirements needed to develop products that will meet customers’ demands.
  • Computer skills including familiarity with Office and ability to learn proprietary software quickly and accurately.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work effectively under demanding deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats.
  • Experience in AutoCAD required. Experience in SolidWorks and SolidWorks Electrical preferred.
  • PLC programming experience preferred.


The starting salary range for this position is $80K to $100k per year based on a forty-hour work week with the ideal candidate reaching the upper end of the pay scale after Simplex specific training and experience is completed at a satisfactory rate over time.

Engineering Technician

The duties of the Engineering Technician will consist of designing and developing products to meet customer specifications. The engineering technician is expected to grow quickly in knowledge and ability to the point of assuming independent work in a period of 3-6 months and demonstrate continual growth thereafter. Specific requirements include but are not limited to:


  • Work closely with senior engineering personnel to complete design projects in a timely manner.
  • Analyze sales orders and customer specifications to design equipment consistent with requirements.
  • Manage technical information in proprietary software.
  • Maintain a workflow that ensures timely adherence to the schedule.


The ideal candidate will have the following skills and abilities.

  • Technical background including education and/or      experience equivalent to a two-year college degree.
  • Strong attention to detail, and a working understanding of mathematics and electrical theory.
  • Ability to identify (through both observation and conversation) key requirements needed to develop products that will meet customer demands.
  • Moderate computer skills including familiarity with Office and ability to learn proprietary software quickly. 
  • Must be able to use AutoCAD or SOLIDWORKS Electrical.
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to work effectively under demanding deadlines.
  • Experience in creative electrical design work. 
  • Must be able to communicate (read, write, and speak) the English language clearly.


The starting salary range for this position is $60K to $80k with the ideal candidate reaching the upper end of the pay scale after Simplex specific training and experience is completed at a satisfactory rate over time.
